Normal and Abnormal Age-related Eye Changes

Throughout life normal eyes will change with age, which can pass by unnoticed. With a regular, comprehensive eye examination normal and abnormal change can be monitored and detected.

Our Optometrists are well placed to diagnose changes due to disease, and to refer you on to the NHS Hospital Eye Service (HES) for early intervention and treatment.

On a regular basis our Optometrists see the following common eye diseases. Please click on the disease name for more information:

Cataracts
Glaucoma
Age-related macular degeneration (AMD)
Diabetic Retinopathy

On entry to your home we will use:

FACE MASKS (Grade II) and provide you with one if needed.
Cover our feet with DISPOSABLE OVERSHOES.

We will provide and use our own soap and hand towel and wash our hands.

For your Eye Examination and spectacle dispense we will:

Spray - sanitise all equipment and spectacle frames before handing them to you.
